At 10:00 am , we left our Air 'bnb'. For breakfast I had Peanut  butter on toast which was yum. Next, I had a shower, brushed my teeth and hair, got changed, made my bed, back my half of the suit case, and did a few jobs. A little while later, we drove to a lolly shop. It was amazing! I got Harry Potter frogs. Also, we got some sour ones and regular lollies too. When we got back in the car, Dad opened this sour sweets they were extra sour. They were DIGUSTING! Then, we carried on driving.

On the way to Hanmer Springs, we stopped at Reefton to get a snack. I got a strawberry milkshake, Alec and Dad got pies, and  Mum got a coffee. It was a nice little town, with lots of cafes. Back on the road to Hanmer springs and I had a wee nap. When we arrived, I put mine and Alec's suit case in our room and helped with dinner. Next, Mum put the sheets on our beds. Sadly, there was no internet so Dad hot spotted the chrome book. For dinner, me and my Dad created chicken with purple onion, peppers, some spices and wraps which were scrumptious. At 8:00 pm, we put on the T.V and watched a house program - which Alec didn't like. Following this, we had hot  chocolate which were yummy in your tummy. Soon we went to bed and felt a asleep. Then, we walked up a steep hill for a little bit of the walk. When we reached the top, we ran down the walk way. We were 20 m high, I bet my Auntie  Diane would get very scared. There were pictures of types of birds and some information that we read. I really enjoy this experience. We walked, back down to the car and Mum and Dad got a tea and a coffee.    ( Click there to see how high we were Tree top walks )

At 1:25 pm, we jumped backed into the car and headed to the Glacier Gorge in Hokitika. When we a
rrived, we went on the little trail to get there. We had to cross a big, long, and wobbly bridge to get to the other side. There was another family there and they were jumping in. Dad said,

"Do you want to jump in?"

"Yes," I replied.

A few minutes later, I got changed and felt the water, which felt warm. I stood on a huge rock. 3,2,1 I jumped! It was freezing! But I did it a few more times, because it was fun.  After that, I got all dry and put my clothes back on. Then, we walked back to the car, had a snack and carried on driving back to our house that we were staying in. When we got back, we took showers as we were going out for dinner. Following this, we walked down to the restaurant. When we found our seats, me and Alec decided we were going to share a big plate of food such as chips, chickens nuggets, fish bites, cheese, chocolate fish, and  fruit, which was yum!  When we were finished, we walked back to the place that we were staying in. When we got home, I made myself a hot chocolate and we watched 'The Grinch'.

What an awesome day!😃

A little while later, we jumped back into  the car and drove to the pancake rocks. They looked amazing, just like a  pancake. My Dad gave my brother Alec a challenge, because he is trying to be a member of PRODIGY. So our activity was throwing rocks to try and see a splash. Sadly, Alec didn't get it so he ran off. In the end, at the last throw, Mum said

"I think it was a splash." So Alec got a month of Prodigy.

It was as cold as the Antarctica sea and it had leafs and dirt in it too. After I got out, I had breakfast - a slice of seed bread with peanut butter. Also, I went for a shower and got changed.  Pool video

At 10:30 am, we decided to go to Lake Rotoiti that Emma - the lady who ran the Air B 'n' B-  said  is a good place. She also gave me and my brother Alec some cat crunchies because we were going to lake Rotoiti where there are millions of eels to feed.

At 11:30 am, we arrived to lake Rotoiti. The water was as clear as plastic wrap. There were millions of eels, a jetty that you swim and jump off, and there was also a forest walk. Me and my Dad swam up to the jetty that was freezing. I felt I was going to have frost bite for a minute. I swam my fastest to make it to the jetty. When I got there was lots of duck poo. The water was 8 metres deep. A few minutes later, I swam back to shore and got a warm towel. After that,my Mum went on the  forest walk and me, Dad,and Alec lay in the sun. A little bit later, we strolled down to the bridge where all the eels were and we fed them some cat crunchies which they liked. Then me and my dad jumped off the bridge/ jetty. That was amazing ! Also, mum met us there.

At 2:30 pm , we jumped back into the car and drove to Carter's beach which took about 1 1/2 hours. Me and Alec also had a nap. My Holiday: Saturday 12th December -flight to Nelson

On a sunny Saturday, I woke up at 6:16 am and let the chickens out. They all ran out to the feeder. Then, I jumped back in bed and watched the computer. At 8:30 am Mum said,

"What do you want for breakfast?"

I said,"A bagel please."

Also, I got changed and got ready for the car trip to Auckland. The bagel I had was delicious. We also went up to our neighbours to give him the chicken feed because we are going to Nelson and doing a little tiki tour.

At 11:25 am,we headed down to Auckland. It was an all right car trip as we ate lots of lollies and me and Alec played hand games. When we arrived at the airport, we handed in our suit cases. Happily, I bought some doughnuts.

At 5:30 pm, we hopped onto our flight. When the plane started, my ears popped. During the flight we got given a cookie and some water. Alec played on Dad's phone when I read Tom Gates. Dad was doing a suduko and Mum was reading her book.

After the plane landed,we got a rental car. I was very windy. We had to go to Pak'n Save to get dinner and some snacks. Then, we got back in the car and we drove for around 40 minutes to The Jumping Goat farm. When we reached our destination, Emma, the lady who owns the place, showed us round. There were chickens, cows, sheep, goats, a dog called Molly and a cat called Linda. For dinner, we had a roasted chicken, and sat on the floor as there was no table or kitchen. We also watched some videos of 'Bondi Rescue' before going to bed.

The day of Freedom

The day of freedom

On a wonderful Wednesday, we had our school party which was a blast!  We raised 4000 dollars at our school market night to have this fun day.

When I arrived at school, everyone was wearing mufti. Teachers were setting up the water slide, water system, and pumping up pool floaties. Ring, ring, ring that's the sound of the bell. Everyone ran back to class. Whaea Jorja told as how the day was planned. After that, we walked to  the field and Whaea Meg explained more rules. The juniors were doing scooters, singing, and bouncy castles.

At 9:00 am,we headed down to the bottom field. There were 4 activities: slippery hockey and soccer, water slide, water fight, and wet sponge tag; we got to pick and choose.  First, I went to the slippery hockey and soccer which was great fun. It was as slippery as a white board. Also,  Alice and Georgia were in my team at slippery hockey and soccer. After that, I helped with the water supply and carried water buckets to the water gun re - fill and slippery hockey and soccer.

At 10:30 am, it was morning tea time. Me and all my friends got changed and ate. Ring, ring, ring that's the sound of the bell and we walked back to the field. The second set activities were gaming, ball rush, scooters, and bouncy castles. I did gaming which was great fun. IT'S SWIMMING TIME YAY! We got to go swimming with Kauri class and lots of floaties; the pool was as fun as going out on a boat and jumping off. For lunch time we had hotdogs. I didn't have one because I don't like hotdogs so I just finished my own lunch.

At 1:00 pm it was time for ice cream! I enjoyed my ice cream, however Lyrik had his ice cream  that he already licked and dipped it in the sprinkles bowl. Yuck! After that, we got to  go down to the bottom field and play in 9 tonnes of ice/snow. I was throwing snow balls at Jonella and Zoe which was great fun. The ice was as cold as a freezer.

Sadly, at 2:30 pm, it was time to get on the bus and go home.  I had a great day and my favourite activity was swimming in the pool with floaties.

The Movies

 The Movies

Last week, we watched movies from when I was a year 2 in Rimu class.  Every Friday Emma used to video the movies and she edited them all.

The first movie we watched was the disaster I was in. The characters were Xavier H, Georgie, and Kora.  There was a shop and I was the shopkeeper selling fruits and vegetables. Also, Xavier H was the thief and stole some of the fruit such as the strawberries and Oranges. Kora was the investigator and helped me find the thief. Xavier H got caught behind the Library and got taken to Jail. That was the end of the story SO DON’T STEAL !

The second movie was about a monster. The characters were Leah, Stacey, Riley, and Lauren. They were all eating their lunch and Stacey said “ do you want to go on a walk.”  They all said” Yes.”  They all headed to the playground to play in the sandpit. Then the monster  came around the corner and all ran up by the field aaaaaah they yelled. Riley had a gun in his hand and shot the monster. The monster  fell to the ground. They all ran to the early words and they were safe until the monster came back.

They were great movies!

Swimming Competition 22nd Sunday November

On a bright spring Sunday, I had my 3rd competition down in Kawakawa. For breakfast, I had a raisin and cinnamon bagel. It was as crunchy as a chip. At 8.45 am me and my dad left and got in the car.  It was an ok car journey; I felt a little sick, but dad just said it was just me being nervous.

At 10.15 am, we arrived at the Kawakawa pool . Our whole club - Dargaville- was there.  I had never met any of them before, except a bay named Raiden. The coaches gave me a yellow Dargaville swimming cap.  After that we warmed up, then my first race - 100m breast stroke- was at 11am.  It went well and my time was 2minutes and 7 seconds. I waited half an hour, then it was my second race, which was 50m backstroke.  My time was 53.19 seconds, and a new PB by 3 seconds.  Next, it was my 100m freestyle.  I got disqualified for jumping too soon, but it was still fun.  My final race was 50m butterfly and I felt a bit nervous because I had not raced this distance before.  However, I completed it in 1 min and I enjoyed it. I also got 4 ribbons.

At 2.30pm, It was time to come home. It was so tried. I hoped that you had a good Sunday too.

When we got there Kate ( My Mum's friend) was working. So we quietly brought our suitcases, bags, bikes, and cool bag. After Kate finished her work, Me and Alec went  fishing and swimming. Then Daryl arrived home ( Kate's boyfriend). For we had nachos. I helped Kate make them. While Alec played with Jasper ( cat). They were very spicy. So me and Alec had to keep drinking water. So we were being rude. Then we got all cosy and went to bed. Good nigh.

Kia ora, another flaming hot day in Whitianga. We decided to head to hot water beach. Armed with two spades, we headed toward the crowd. It was chockablock. We started digging, but the water in the hole was still cold. We tried different places. Eventually, a group of people left a pool, so we jumped in it. It was very hot like a kettle. After that, we asked this man who was digging forever if he wanted the pool. Then we went into the cold sea.

My Holiday: Roast Sunday 4th October Part 3

At 3.00 pm, me and Kate cut and peeled all the veggies such as potatoes, carrots, and broccoli. After that, we rode our bikes to the pub to get drinks. Later that afternoon, we rode back on our bikes and peeled the parsnips and cut them in long strips. One of Daryl's tricks is to flour the potatoes to make them extra crunchy . They looked like ice on a castle.  Then we put all the veggies and meat in the oven. When we had dinner, it was delicious.  I really enjoyed the roasted parsnips and lamb.

After we ate dinner, we watched the movie "Rango". It was about a lost lizard and water shortage. We watched half of the movie and ate my leftover birthday cake.

It was another great day in Whitianga!
