Production Reflection

This year's production was based on a book children's called Tiddler. We only have a production every 2nd year. It was very good fun. I auditioned for one of the main characters. Happily, I got to be one of the main characters which was a Trevally. Also, I had a goal which was to try my best for the auditions and achieved it.  The most challenging part of the production was  not scratching off my face paint.  I was very nervous to be on stage but the dances that we completed were amazing.

I think next time they should let us help make the costumes so we can pick what we wanted on our costume. IT WAS AMAZING PRODUCTION!

A good blog post

What makes a good blog post?

To me a good blog post must have:
- Always try to avoid being negative in your blog posts  .
-  The blog should have an interesting title so it catches the reader's attention and what it's about  .
- The blog should be written in 1st person because it is a personal piece from the writer's point of view .
- The blog shouldn’t contain any private  information because it allows the world  to open your bank account and more.
- Every blog should be edited before publishing.

My production goal 2021

Yesterday, we made a goal about the production. Also, Whaea Kayia gave us stars to write them on and wrote the Moari words on the star instead of English.  The goal I picked was to try my best for the auditions. I picked this goal because I have never done this and I want try my best.

Here is my star and goal:

Narrative

On a hot boiling day, it was the Far North swimming Sports in Kaitaia. When we arrived, it was overwhelming because of crowds of people chatting, shouting and yelling. We found our seats quickly and when our races were to begin. Kendra was the loudest and most excited swimmer from our school. She was a very good swimmer, and also very critical for her friends and teammates.

Before the first race, she turned her mean voice on to some of her friends.

“\Why are you wearing a three year old cap?(which was a picture of a fish)

Her upset friend replied,

“Because my New Zealand flag cap ripped,” and walked to the toilets angrily, asKendra laughed.  While the upset girl was in the bathroom crying, she started to get ready for her first race. Mrs Jones, the P.E teacher who took them to Swimming sports and very competitive, Kendra loved her as she was her Mum and she got extra time in the pool everyday after their lesson.

2 minutes before the race, Mrs Jones aked Kendra,

“Kendra have you seen Charlotte?”

Kendra knew where Charlotte was - in the bathroom crying. Kendra decided to get Charlotte and avoid trouble.  When Kendra arrived at the bathroom, Charlotte was surprised that she  came and  Charlotte was keen to start the race.

Next minute they were standing on the diving blocks. The referee said,

 “Take your marks..get... set…o!”

They both dive in.  SPLASH! Charlotte was on a mission to catch and swim up to Kendra. On the other hand Kendra was swallowing water. Mrs Jones yelled,

“15 meters to go, push!”

Kendra started to drown because of how much water she took in.The life guards realized that something wasn’t right. On the other hand Mrs Jones was shouting,

“ 5 meters to go!”

Kendra wasn’t feeling good. CHARLOTTE HAD WON! The Lifeguard jumped into the pool as fast as they could. Kendra got pulled out of the water and eceivedrCPR straight away. Mrs Jones was in a right panic,

“Is she alive?” she asked in a worried voice)

One of the lifeguards said,

“She is going to have to go to the hospital -can you ring them?”

Mrs Jones dials 111. Straight away the ambulance arrived. The ambulance lady,Luna, said,

“ Lie her down on her side so all the water can drain out of her lungs onto the floor .”

Then they put the spinal board behind her back and loaded her into the ambulance van. Charlotte was happy about her win, but she wasn’t happy because Kendra  got CPR.

Sadly, 24 hour Kendra Rose Gilbert passed on as she swallowed lots of water.

Rest in peace Kendra Rose Gilbert

HELLO MR HEDGEHOG

This afternoon my little brother-Alec- got a supirse in our backyard. It was a hedgehog. Alec said excitedly,

'' Georgie, Georgie, Georgie, there is a hedgehog!''

At first I didn't believe him. So I ran out of the front door. And there was a real live hedgehog!  It looked dead, as it wasn't moving.  Running fast, Alec went to go and get a box with the chickens' hay in it, while I watched the hedgehog. It looked like it was breathing softly.

A little while later, Alec went to get a pair of gloves so that he could pick up the hedgehog.Me and Alec were debating who should pick up the hedgehog; in the end I made Alec put the hedgehog in the box.It was time for Alec to go drumming, so we put  the box by the basket ball hop.

Thursday 14th Jan Sea biscuit

Morning, I got up and made myself breakfast which was French toast  and peaches- delicious.  After that, I put on my wetsuit, brushed my teeth, got a towel, and put on sunscreen. Me and Alec  were so excited to go on our neighbour's biscuit.

We drove down to Taipa estuary and launched the boat.  Oscar navigated the boat and when we went past Taipa bridge, Alec and I went on the biscuit.  When I lay on the biscuit, my feet were in the water and it felt like needles were pricking into me.  Oscar went very fast and did lots of turns which was very fun. At 10:30 am Oscar started driving back to the Taipa boat ramp. I really enjoyed today.
