The Movies

 The Movies

Last week, we watched movies from when I was a year 2 in Rimu class.  Every Friday Emma used to video the movies and she edited them all.

The first movie we watched was the disaster I was in. The characters were Xavier H, Georgie, and Kora.  There was a shop and I was the shopkeeper selling fruits and vegetables. Also, Xavier H was the thief and stole some of the fruit such as the strawberries and Oranges. Kora was the investigator and helped me find the thief. Xavier H got caught behind the Library and got taken to Jail. That was the end of the story SO DON’T STEAL !

The second movie was about a monster. The characters were Leah, Stacey, Riley, and Lauren. They were all eating their lunch and Stacey said “ do you want to go on a walk.”  They all said” Yes.”  They all headed to the playground to play in the sandpit. Then the monster  came around the corner and all ran up by the field aaaaaah they yelled. Riley had a gun in his hand and shot the monster. The monster  fell to the ground. They all ran to the early words and they were safe until the monster came back.

They were great movies!

Swimming Competition 22nd Sunday November

On a bright spring Sunday, I had my 3rd competition down in Kawakawa. For breakfast, I had a raisin and cinnamon bagel. It was as crunchy as a chip. At 8.45 am me and my dad left and got in the car.  It was an ok car journey; I felt a little sick, but dad just said it was just me being nervous.

At 10.15 am, we arrived at the Kawakawa pool . Our whole club - Dargaville- was there.  I had never met any of them before, except a bay named Raiden. The coaches gave me a yellow Dargaville swimming cap.  After that we warmed up, then my first race - 100m breast stroke- was at 11am.  It went well and my time was 2minutes and 7 seconds. I waited half an hour, then it was my second race, which was 50m backstroke.  My time was 53.19 seconds, and a new PB by 3 seconds.  Next, it was my 100m freestyle.  I got disqualified for jumping too soon, but it was still fun.  My final race was 50m butterfly and I felt a bit nervous because I had not raced this distance before.  However, I completed it in 1 min and I enjoyed it. I also got 4 ribbons.

At 2.30pm, It was time to come home. It was so tried. I hoped that you had a good Sunday too.

Real or Fake?

Last week, Donna came to our class to work on Media and being smart online.  It is good to see what is going on in the world and so you don't get catfish.

We made these real and fake images on Google draw.

Making Record bowls

On a lovely sunny Friday, we made record bowls with Hannah.

What you need:

- glass bowl

- 160 degrees oven

- oven mitts

- record

The steps

Firstly, you will need to go and buy a few records, you can buy them for Op shop or second hand shop. Put a glass bowl in the oven to heat up at 160 degrees .

Secondly, put the record on the hot glass bowl. Also, put it in the oven until it troops down. Then you take it out of the oven be very careful. After that, you push it with your oven mitts to make the curly lines. Next you leave it for 1 minute to cool. Then you take it out of the bowl.
