On a lovely sunny Saturday morning, me and my Dad drove down to Whangarei.
We woke up and left the house at 8.15 am. I was exhausted. We stopped at Kerikeri for a pie and a cup of tea. The pies were delicious. Then we got back on the road. One more hour to go! I was happy and excited.
At 11.00 am clock we met the lady (who was selling the chicks) at 'Bunnings'. The chicks were in a box with holes in it. We couldn't really see them. After that, we went to 'Farmlands' to get the chicks food, chick starter and growing pellets.
When we got home, we started to make a little run. Dad got some old wood from under the house.
Then we put down a tarp and then some newspaper. We carefully took them out of the box and they went cheep, cheep, cheep. They were as cute as little fluffy kittens. They are still growing, so we had to be gentle and keep them warm under the heat lamp.
Here are their names so far: Draco, Daisy, Betty, Flash and Tom. We are still thinking of another name.
Here are some photos and a video :

This is a great post about our new members of the family! They are certainly keeping us busy with their antics and making us smile! Keep thinking of that last name Georgie xxx
